Are you a deep-thinking adult who’s…

Reading the posts and wondering, “Wait… is this me?”
Masking so well that even your own family has no idea.
Overanalysing your social interactions for the thousandth time.
Feeling like you don’t quite fit, even when you’ve learned to blend in.

You've likely been quietly wondering...

Am I Autistic?

Maybe you've taken the online tests.
Watched the videos.
Read the posts that hit so close to home it almost hurt.

And still... you’re left unsure.

This program is for that exact moment... the not-quite-certain but deeply curious space.

It’s for when you want real clarity about whether the autistic neurotype is part of your story...
without waiting years, paying thousands,
or navigating a formal diagnostic system that wasn’t built with you in mind, and may not feel entirely safe to step into.

That wondering deserves answers.

Created by an Autistic Autism Assessor
who's spilling the beans.

If you literally pictured beans being spilled...
that might just be an A2 criterion moment: a literal interpretation of figurative language.

Welcome home.

Meet your guide, the autistic autism assessor.

Hi, I’m Dasha, an autistic ADHDer, speech pathologist, and trained autism assessor.

I created the Autistic Self-Identification Program after years of watching late-identified adults spiral through self-doubt, exhaustion, and endless internet rabbit holes, when what they really needed was calm, clear, neuroaffirming support.

With years of experience, I’ve conducted countless autism assessments and trained other allied health professionals in delivering affirming, quality care. My practice is grounded in research, community wisdom, and lived experience, especially the internalised and often-overlooked ways autism can show up in adults who’ve spent a lifetime masking.

I’m also a member of the South Australian Government’s Autism Strategy Advisory Committee, where I advocate for autistic voices in policy and systemic change. I’ve spoken about autistic self-identification on national platforms including the Speech Pathology Australia podcast and ABC Radio, and regularly present to clinicians and educators on neuroaffirming approaches to autistic identification, communication, and support. What started as sharing insights on social media quickly became something bigger. My posts have been viewed by tens of millions, reflecting just how many people are searching for answers that actually make sense.

This program brings together everything I’ve learned, both professionally and personally, so you can finally understand yourself and realise there was never anything wrong with you to begin with.

WHAT WE COVER - BEYOND THE TEXTBOOK

Below you’ll find a breakdown of the topics explored in each module of the program. Every core autism criterion is unpacked in a way that’s practical, relatable, and neuroaffirming.

 Each module includes:

-  A simple and neuroaffirming translation of the diagnostic criterion
-  Examples of how it can show up in real life (including lived experience)
-  A contrast with how the same experience plays out for neurotypicals
-  Reflective prompts to help you notice what does, or doesn’t, resonate
-  A quick tip for gently unmasking in your everyday life

MODULE #1

A to-the-point introduction to the autistic neurotype - no lengthy histories here! Just what you need to know before you deep dive into the different elements of the neurotype.

MODULE #2

All about the A1 Criterion - Communication! Learn about the difference between neurotypical and autistic communication and feel the 'pennies drop' as you reflect on which of the two relate to your experience.

MODULE #3

Jumping over to a B criterion, we cover B1 - Stimming! Find out what the functions of stimming are (there are more than you think!) as well as examples of the many ways that stims can show up.

MODULE #4

Learn about non-verbal communication (A2), what the autistic internalised experience of it is as well as the ways that it might show up in your life. This is a commonly misunderstood criterion that we explore in depth.

MODULE #5

Get a real understanding of what they actually mean by "routine" as we explore the B2 criterion that covers Predictability and Familiarity.

MODULE #6

We explore what the A3 criterion covers, including making and maintaining relationships, alone time, social battery and what happens when we don't get a break.

MODULE #7

Understand what counts as a 'special interest' under the B3 criterion and how this differs from the way non-autistic people experience things they are into.

MODULE #8

Deep dive into sensory experiences (B4) as we explore the many ways this shows up in the daily life - you may be surprised by how many elements impact you without you realising!

MODULE #9

Understand the additional criteria (and 'levels') in the DSM-5 for autism and consider whether other commonly noted autistic experiences apply to you, including meltdowns and shutdowns.

MODULE #10

We wrap it up with info to help you decide your next steps, whether that be self-identification or further exploration. We talk about what to do once you know and cover things like masking, self accomodation/advocacy, telling others and/or preparing for formal assessment.

Plus: companion workbooks

- A dedicated written workbook for every A and B criterion

- Clear, neuroaffirming summaries and info recaps so you do not have to take notes

- A quick neurotypical contrast snapshot
